A Magical First Look Before an Emotional Wedding Ceremony at The Armada Hotel – Wild Atlantic Wedding by Mrsredhead Photography
To Olga / MrsRedhead Photography
Mike and I want to take the opportunity to say the biggest thank you for capturing our wedding day.
From the moment I first met you I knew eventually you would photograph my wedding.
Not only are you incredibly talented, but you are a joy to have around on the day.
The photos are everything I could have wished for – and more! You captured so many incredible moments, things I had never thought of.
I will be forever grateful for the memories you have captured in photo form!
You are literally the best, we appreciate you so much!
Lots of love, hugs and thank yous,
Rachel & Mike xxx
Doing a first look was such a magical experience.
The most important things for us were that the day would be completely stress free!
We chose our suppliers because we knew they were the best in the business, we could trust everyone 100% and loved the planning process.
I’m a spreadsheet planner so everything was organised down to a tee – this meant that on the day it all went seamlessly!
We are both emotional people, so having that moment together before the ceremony was so special. Its definitely one of the best bits of the day!
Our incredible celebrant, Grainne from Atlantic Vows, was probably the most important person on the day. The work she put into our ceremony was phenomenal – she is an amazing woman in so many ways. The ceremony was personal, making everyone laugh and cry in equal measure.
She suggested we write our own vows too and that moment was one we will never forget!
The look and feel was elegant with a rustic twist – gold, white and green everything! It was fun, relaxed and had a party atmosphere.
How did you originally meet and get together?
Like all modern love stories it started with Tinder and a first date in my secluded cottage in the Limerick countryside… Although it was a terrible idea to invite a strange man to my house, I had already cancelled our first date twice so I felt like it was our last hope.
I was reluctant at first, but Mike weaseled his way into my life, and the rest was history!
Our proposal was beautiful – after a stressful few days!

I had ordered a promise ring online, however the ring did not arrive on time. We had just moved into our new home and planned a weekend away in Killarney to relax after the stress of buying our first home.
To shorten a long story I left work at lunchtime on Friday afternoon to go and collect Rachel in Limerick and head for Killarney with no ring. After getting a last minute update on the delivery I ended up chasing a delivery van down and collecting the all important package.
Later that evening we got engaged in the most beautiful setting overlooking the lakes of Killarney in front of the Aghadoe Heights. We spent the weekend celebrating in the most perfect engagement bubble. When we came home and told our families we found out that my mothers parents got engaged in Killarney as did Rachels fathers parents!
