I don’t think our wedding would have been the same without Olga.

Even though it was the first time we’d ever met her, it was so easy to just be ourselves and have fun with her which really allowed her to capture our personalities and the amazing time we had on our day.

Despite crazy winds and some showers, the photographs were beyond my expectations. She caught every small detail from start to finish and she drove us around to get great shots at different places she knew- who knew we would be getting a photographer and the #1 tour guide all in one?!

I can’t say enough nice things about her and her work.

We hope to make it back to Ireland again and I hope to eventually do an anniversary shoot with her some day!

Eileen & Mike from Chicago

We knew when we decided to get married in Ireland that we wanted simple and beautiful.

When we first came across Sea View House and the town of Doolin, I knew such an iconic quiet Irish town next to something as beautiful as the Cliffs of Moher would be the perfect spot.

Dara and Niall were so helpful from the beginning, being so patient with all our questions as we tried to decide on our venue, we just knew that we could trust them with helping us to plan this day.

We chose Hags Head for the ceremony because we wanted to be a bit more intimate and private away from the crowds at the Cliffs.

Our biggest priority for our wedding day was to make sure that most of the day would be spent side by side and being able to focus on each other and the whole purpose of a marriage in general. Aside from that, our photographer was the most important thing because we knew that the pictures would be what we would have to keep forever and to remember the day. Olga did such an amazing job, despite the crazy wind and some small rain showers, she managed to capture everything and far exceeded any expectations that I had.

The day was special because everything that we chose was just about us. There were no distractions, nothing to worry about and we got to focus on each other. Being far from family I knew that I still wanted to have some special things from home so I had my grandma’s wedding rings on a pendant, the earrings I wore were made from the ring my dad gave my mom, and I had a sixpence from one of my older sister’s.

We met on the dating app Hinge. We went on our first date on August 18th of 2018, we met at a bar to watch a pre-season Bears game. We’ve spent just about every day together since and got married exactly one year later on August 18th of 2019!

Once of the first places we went to together was Emporium Arcade Bar in downtown Chicago. We took pictures in the photo booth and it sort of just became something we would do regularly on date nights. After we bought our house and were getting ready to move out of our apartment, he asked to go to Emporium “one more time before we move out of the city”. He ended up pulling the ring out in the middle of our photo booth photoshoot!

Could you sum up your wedding in a couple of sentences – how would you describe the look and feel of the day, the vibe?

We had a very laid back vibe for the day, we both went into it with a “go with the flow” type of attitude. We knew at the end of the day we were just there to celebrate our relationship and we mostly wanted to make sure we had some cool pictures to announce the marriage to our friends and family =)

What advice would you give to other couples planning their day?

I would honestly say that the most important thing is to remember what the purpose of the day is, it’s about the two of you and that’s it. Stressing over guest lists and flower arrangements and all that, it’s easy to lose sight of the purpose of a wedding.

Where did you go/are you planning on going on honeymoon? Would you recommend it?

Our trip to Ireland was 14 days so we got married on our 2nd day and spent the next 12 days with a rental car driving a loop of the entire coast. Wedding and honeymoon all in one =)
