We really wanted a relaxed day that was really celebrating our marriage and future together.

All we cared about was being surrounded by everyone we love and sharing the day with them.

Family, friends, music and food! Really just all the things we love in life. The ceremony was the most important aspect of the day for us though. Vincent made ceremony so, so special.

Hotel Doolin was just phenomenal from the day we met them. Nothing was ever too much bother and they helped us with everything. It was such a relaxed vibe thanks to every single member of staff there. No where else compares to Doolin. Now it will be our special place forever!

We knew we were in good hands before the wedding when we met Olga. She is the perfect combination of professional and chilled.

Her portfolio looked epic! However, on the day she exceeded all expectations. She made us feel so relaxed, took care of us like VIPs and we had so much fun! She captured all the little moments that were important to us on the day. I (Catherine) actually felt relaxed in front of the camera which I never do! Olga also gave us loads of recommendations of suppliers too which was brilliant as we hadn’t a clue!

We met in McGowans in Phibsboro! Both on work nights out. Sean had a cast on his arm and tried to tell Catherine he injured it saving children from a burning orphanage. (It was a football injury and it was a sprain support)

We were hiking in Connemara and Sean got down on one knee and popped the question. Total Surprise! We went back down the mountain and had a pint to celebrate!

The ceremony 100%. Seans sister and Catherines friend Eoin introduced the both of us at the start and that really set the tone. So much love and laughs. Vincent Whelan from spiritual ceremonies was phenomenal. Our ceremony was so personal with our rug on the floor and our wine box ceremony. Just perfect.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their day?

Do exactly what you want and don’t lose your sense of self. Once you do your own thing, the day will feel so personal and special. Also, go with your gut and trust your suppliers. All of our suppliers were just brilliant, and we took their advice all along. They are the experts and knew far more about wedding planning than we did!

Where did you go/are you planning on going on honeymoon? Would you recommend it? We went to America. It was a really generous gift from Catherines brother. We only found out where we were going two days before we left! We went on a cruise to the Bahamas, then on to Vegas, New Orleans and Atlanta. It was unreal.
