When did you know it was for life?
We met in Farnham, Surrey in the pub. Liam was living and working in the area and Ben had just moved up to the area for a job.
Benjamin: When he came into work with me Xmas morning to help feed the penguins and I gave him a load of washing up to do instead. (He still got to feed the penguins eventually)
Liam: When he moved in and his mother said ‘it’s your problem now’ and threw a bag with a snake in it at me.
Wedding Day
We wanted to give our guests a real experience, as many of them had never been to Ireland before, so we wanted the location and the venue to showcase the best of Ireland.
Being November, we decided to go for an autumn type theme with much of the décor being natural autumnal colours. We also had a bit of an animal theme too with the cake, table names, etc as, owning our own little zoo, we wanted the day to represent our lives a bit.
Highlight of your day
Ben: Seeing everyone’s reaction to our unconventional wedding cake.
Liam: Walking down the aisle to the lion king’s ‘circle of life’.
The morning after, Liam’s groomsman/brother forgot to put Liam’s bag into the hotel room, so Liam had no toiletries or spare clothes, and Noel still had the car keys and was asleep in a drunken coma.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
Make sure the wedding is what you want and make it your own, don’t worry about being traditional or thinking you have to do something a certain way because that is ‘whats done’. Have fun with it and make sure it shows your personalities.
