Doolin Barn fest in Ireland where RTE married TG4 .. Leola and Mike stunning Cliffs Of Moher wedding
Leola and Mike .. just look at their beautiful story ! I loved every minute of their wedding day in Doolin !
We’re relaxed people but we get serious when it comes to throwing a good party! The staff at Hotel Doolin are ultimate professionals and seriously cool people. They ensure the whole planning process is both enjoyable and stress free. This was the first of four venues we viewed but we needn’t have bothered showing up for the other three! We fell in love with the new Barn, the locally sourced food, and bringing our loved ones to celebrate in West Clare was an added bonus.
What was Important?
Good Music & Good Food in The Banner County. We kept things simple and concentrated on getting the basics right. Our crowd are decent, fun-loving folk and all we wanted was to give them a rocking day out.
Olga was amazing from start to finish, always so professional. She is a gifted photographer. She has a great way about her and a big happy smile! She’s really easy to talk to and you instantly feel comfortable in her presence. Our bridal party are still talking about how much fun we had during the photoshoot.
She has access to unrivalled beauty spots and scouts the best locations. Both of us work in media, more so videography but we appreciate good framing, composition, lighting etc. and she nailed it. I’d recommend her to anyone.
It meant a lot to me to have my brother sing backed by Mike’s father on guitar as my father walked me down the aisle. This theme continued throughout the mass with our friends & family contributing in song and prayers… even the priests were related!
It was extra special to have our baby son Leo present, he stole the show! We were completely overwhelmed by people’s generosity and well wishes. We both work in media and have prepared a few video surprises for our friends over the years so I figured maybe the lads had something up their sleeves but I was completely blown away by the speeches and videos that were played throughout.
We met at work 10 years ago and were friends for years before love eventually blossomed. Dave & Ivor (our videographers on our wedding day) tried to set us up years ago but we were having none of it! It definitely wasn’t love at first sight! We probably saw each other as rival colleagues …so, if you can’t beat them, join them… now we have combined our superpowers through marriage!!
How did the proposal go, if there was one? Mike wrote a song about Leola – The Barefield Blossom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIRlp8vJzXs – and sang it to her on a night away in Ballyvaughan.
